Flea, Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Bassist, Reveals Cover for His Upcoming Memoir

By June 11, 2018New Releases

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the biggest bands on the planet and have been rocking the world with their funky rock fusion for the past thirty-five years. Few bands have enjoyed such long term success but the Red Hot Chili Peppers are still going strong and don’t show any sign of letting up.

In 2004, lead singer Anthony Kiedis published a memoir called Scar Tissue, which chronicled his life and his career as a rockstar. Now Flea, the band’s bassist, is following suite and has written a memoir that’s set to be published later this year. The Chili Peppers may have been formed over thirty years ago, but the band has seen several band members come and go over the decades, though both Flea and Anthony have been there from the very beginning. With that much experience in the music industry, we can imagine Flea has some pretty wild stories to tell.

Flea recently announced that his memoir will be called Acid for the Children and will chronicle his childhood, his friendship with Kiedis, and life on the road as a rockstar. The book’s cover art has also been unveiled and shows a very young Flea smoking something we’re going to assume isn’t legal. Acid for the Children is available to pre-order now and is set to be released on September 25.
