Sophie Kinsella to Release New Shopaholic Book

Since the first book in the Shopaholic series ‘The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic’ was released by Sophie Kinsella in 2000 fans have loved Becky Bloomwood and devoured the books. To date, eight books have been released but the last novel in the series Shopaholic to the Rescue came out back in 2015, a whole four years ago. If you’ve been hoping there’ll be another instalment then we have some great news for you today!

Publishers Transworld has announced that Sophie Kinsella will return to her bestselling series in time for Christmas with her first festive title, Christmas Shopaholic. The new instalment will be published in October, four years after the last instalment.

The book will bring back Kinsella’s much loved character, Becky Bloomwood and will be the ninth book in the series. While Transworld are keeping the details under wraps, we can expect al the humour, charm and classic misadventure we’ve come to expect from this series. We’re promised the book will include many of the series’ original characters, but this time with a festive twist!

It’s almost twenty years since the first Shopaholic novel was released and this clearly shows that there’s still plenty of life left in the characters! Kinsella stated that she is often asked when the next Shopaholic book is coming, and now she says it feels great to say that Becky is back!
