Netflix Releases Angela’s Christmas Wish, a Sequel to Angela’s Christmas

As part of their festive offering the streaming platform, Netflix, are releasing ‘Angela’s Christmas Wish’ which is a sequel to the 2018 short film, ‘Angela’s Christmas’. This holiday, family film will premiere on Netflix on 1st December.

The 2018 short film, Angela’s Christmas is a short film based on a story, Angela and the Baby Jesus, the only children’s book written by the Pulitzer Prize-winning author, Frank McCourt. This animation is already available on Netflix if you missed it when it was first released and wish to watch it ahead of the sequel’s release.

The original short film was set in Ireland in the 1910s and is a funny, heart-warming and poignant tale about the power of family in which a young Angela is fueled by a desire to ensure that everyone is safe, warm and loved at Christmas time after a trip to church with her family.

Like the film that came before it, Angela’s Christmas Wish is written and directed by Damien O’Connor from Brown Bag Films. The new Christmas special revisits seven-year-old Angela and her family as the child takes on a new holiday adventure. A determined, young Angela makes a plan and a heart-warming wish to reunite her family for Christmas, hoping to bring her father home from his work in Australia in time for the holidays.
