“This is a delightful public library, one of the best around.”

Hershey Public Library - Pennsylvania

Hershey Public Library is an incredibly diverse library, catering to the needs of many groups of people – from young, old, book-lovers, movie-lovers, and also serving the needs of many different cultures. You will find literary resources not only in English, but also French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian.
You will find an art display in the hallway to Meeting Room 2, displaying the work of artists of the Hershey Area Art Association. This exhibition is available to view all year round, and each month there is a new featured artist – keeping things fresh and interesting in the library.
For movie-lovers, the library screens various films, which have recently included The Incredibles and Mulan. It is a perfect community-based activity for the children of the area. There is always a lot going on at the library, including a recent Film Festival, which played all movies staring Robin Williams. Another recent event was the Star Wars Day.
Additionally, there are many groups that meet at the library which are all open to new members – there is a group for almost anybody.
For foodies, the libary even visits the Farmer’s Market! This is available on Thursdays, between June and September (2:30pm – 6:30pm), and the market is located next to the Cocoa Beanery at 1214 Research Blvd.
The library has recently celebrated 100 years on January 27 2013, and it is clear to see that it does an excellent job at serving the community and getting people together!
