Balderdash (noun)

Senseless talk or writing; nonsense.

Originally used to describe a jumbled mix of liquors (milk and beer, beer and wine, etc.),  balderdash was transferred in the 1670s to mean a “senseless jumble of words.” .

Example sentences

” Everything that comes out of his mouth is utter balderdash.”

“Have you seen these proposals? Complete balderdash the lot of it.”
