How I Lost You…where to start?! The story is about Susan, a woman convicted of murdering her baby boy whilst suffering from post natal depression. On her release, she relocates and starts a new life which is turned upside down in receipt of a photo of a toddler suggesting her son is alive. She decides to open this can of worms with her former cell mate Cassie and new friend Nick. And what a can of worms it is.
The story alternates between Susan’s story and events surrounding a group of boys in the 1990s. It’s not clear to start with how these are related but as you delve deeper into the twists and turns this book has to offer, the pieces of both jigsaws start to create the bigger picture.
As I got further along this rollercoaster of a book, I found myself struggling to put it down and when I did, my brain was trying to fathom out what was going to happen next.
