“A taut and exquisitely written novel that will keep you up all night desperately turning the pages. This book is insanely good.”

NO MAJOR SPOILERS

This is a disturbing book that brings out some important aspects of human psychology.

I ran through it in seemingly no time… it’s not a big book but it is the type that makes you want to keep reading as you want to know what happened.

It begins the way many books may end and from there on, it is all about what led to that!

Louise is the kind of nanny that friends and neighbors envy.

She cooks like a dream, bakes, is very good at inventing new games and thrilling stories for the children, she keeps the house scrubbed clean and is always willing to shoulder extra responsibility or stay late.

Wow!

For Myriam, who is desperate to begin the law career she trained for, Louise is a godsend. She relies on her more and more as she progresses in her career.

But as they say, if something seems too good to be true, it probably is!

A very realistic picture of the problems faced by a modern working couple and the ways in which they try to cope is portrayed.

Do you react at every small sign you get of a chink in the nanny’s perfection?

Where do you draw the line?

It’s a very fast read and keeps you engaged.

I wasn’t totally satisfied with the ending hence 4.5*.
