“Every once in a while a writer comes along with an incredible voice. Think Elmore Leonard, or Chester Himes…add S. A. Cosby to that list.”

This excellent noir novel is a knockout. Beau Montague is a great driver. He used to make a living at it by driving getaway cars during criminal activities and he is amongst the very best at it. He learned it from his long gone father. Beau now has a family, a wife, two boys and a mom in a nursing home. He has left the life of crime behind him and now operates his own garage where he and his cousin do expert repairs. Now business isn’t all that great and a new repair shop has opened in town further cutting into his income when opportunity comes knocking. Beau has little choice but to answer that knock and his life will never be the same.

Thrilling car rides, plot twists, loads of surprises and betrayers makes this a book you won’t be able to put down. It’s exciting, and you can’t help falling into the web of deceit along with Beau as page after page leads the reader deeper into the now perilous world that Beau and his family are living in. You will be sitting on the edge of your seat to the very last page.
Read expertly by Adam Lazarrre White, this is a New York Times top 100 books of the year. At the end of the book there is a very interesting Q&A session with the author not to be missed.
Highly recommended.
