“A charming fable about a hen named Sprout, who simply wants to hatch an egg of her own”

The story of The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly follows Sprout an aged, egg laying hen trapped in her coop nearing the end of her purpose in life as she seeks to fulfill her deepest desire. That is her natural maternal instinct, and the chance to raise a brood of her very own.

This truly incredible and beautiful tale follows the trials and tribulations of survival both within the farmyard from the farmer’s wife, and Rooster, where sadly Sprout is right at the bottom of the pecking order, and in the wild with a very wily weasel.

Finally Sprout finds a friend in another outcast straggler, a wounded wild mallard duck. In time the couple find they have a deep unspoken understanding of each other.

Be prepared for a pyrrhic victory.
