What a gem of a bookshop this little charity store is, upon entering you are struck by just how pristine it is, there is not a speck of dust anywhere and the books are perfectly aligned upon their shelves, it really is beautifully presented.
There are books on just about anything you could imagine and they’re all easily discoverable with everything clearly labelled and all the books within each section ordered alphabetically by author.
Their Antiquarian shelves had me drooling, such gorgeous books and all at supremely affordable prices too, although I did manage to restrain myself to just one book on this visit.
The staff are friendly, approachable, knowledgeable and very accommodating; offering to search through the back rooms for any titles that the browser may not have been able to find for themselves on the shopfloor and constantly busy!
They’re like little bees flitting around the shelves straightening this book, flicking a piece of imaginary dust from that shelf and constantly rotating the stock.
You are made to feel very welcome and this is supported by the two bucket seats in the window which invite you to sit and rest a while as you shop.
All in all, a wonderful little book shop and well worth a visit, just make sure you take a big bag and someone who will drag you out before you become lost to the real world!
