The Curious Iguana - Frederick

“If you like quaint bookstores, this is your place!”

Located about an hour North of Washington, D.C. in historic Frederick, MD, the Curious Iguana is the first locally-owned independent bookstore in the area. Interesting displays (the window display featured a tribute to books on Homosexuality and Christianity, obviously a nod to both our recent supreme court decision and the fact the Frederick area remains a bastion of conservatism in a liberal state), a unique and well-formed children’s area, and incredibly helpful staff. I also enjoyed that the store was not filled with the normal knick-knacks you often find in small businesses.
