I met Alwyn Hamilton at a bookshop event a couple of years ago and while I was there picked up a signed edition of the first two books in the Rebel of the Sands trilogy. The books are aimed at a young adult market but I absolutely loved them and so I’m thrilled to announce today that Hamilton has a new trilogy coming and we cannot wait!
Set in the same world as Hamilton’s Rebel of the Sands trilogy, but on a different continent and generations apart. The trilogy is set in the 1920s in a society reliant on magic and keeping itself safe from the dangers of the forest.
The first book in the series, The Notorious Virtues, the younger generation of the Holtzfall family must compete in trials to determine who is the most virtuous and therefore most worthy of inheriting control of the family and its money.
Those who are already familiar with Hamilton’s work will know she is a first-class storyteller with a fantastic imagination for this magical world she has created. The Rebel of the Sands trilogy was completely unputdownable and we expect this new trilogy to be of the same quality!
The Notorious Virtues isn’t yet available for pre-order, nor do we have a release date but as soon as we have more info we’ll bring it to you, and if you haven’t read the original trilogy, info below!
