“Stratford-Upon-Avon Public Library is a modern library wrapped in the beauty of an old building.”

Stratford-Upon-Avon Public Library - Stratford

Stratford-Upon-Avon Public Library is situated near to the house that William Shakespeare was born and grew up in.
The outside of this beautiful library is an old, black and white building which fits in perfectly with the rest of the town. However inside I was slightly surprised to see a bright modern looking space for all the books.
Only there for a quick look I went into the main room on the ground floor. Mostly filled with adult fiction, the room also has windows which have coloured glass and images in, along with quotes from several authors and writers, including of course William Shakespeare.
Off to one side of this room full of fiction was the children’s book area, which looked like a lovely bright and colourful area, great for appealing to children and therefore encouraging them to read.
A lovely way to spend some spare time, when visiting the home of The Bard. I would definitely recommend popping in if you’re in the area.
