Hi, my name is Sammy, and from a young age I have always loved reading. Throughout school English classes were pretty much the only thing that I enjoyed, so naturally, I went on to do a degree in literature. After graduating with a First- Class degree last year, I have gone on to do a Masters, which I am currently halfway through. I have a history in jewellery making, and previously ran an online store which made and sold ‘alternative’ style pieces. It is then that I realised that I wasn’t doing what I loved, quite simply, because it didn’t involve books. After a pretty snap decision, Poetic Pieces was born!

Poetic Pieces is dedicated to making jewellery inspired by literature. I take some of your favourite quotes and put them in gorgeous frames to make bangles, brooches, cufflinks, earrings, pendants, rings, keychains and bookmarks. I also make Page Fragment pieces, which are taken from old and damaged books. I like to take names of characters and also choose parts which have three or four words in that tell a part of that story. These are truly unique pieces of jewellery that can only be made once from that same book.

As well as running an online store, I also have a stall at Hay-On-Wye (the town of books)once a month. These dates are regularly announced on my Facebook page. I am based in the UK and ship worldwide.
