Quaquaversal (adj)

(Geological) Dipping, pointing or occurring in every direction.

Late 17th century; earliest use found in Athenian Gazette. From classical Latin quāquā versus on all sides (2nd cent. a.d. in Apuleius), in post-classical Latin also quaquaversum on all sides (400 in Augustine), wherever + -al.
