By September 30, 2016Word of the Day

Mimsy (adj)

mim-zee

Rather feeble and prim or affected: Underwhelming, and ineffectual.

Coined by Lewis Carroll in Alice Through the Looking Glass mimsy is probably simply a blend of miserable and flimsy.

Example sentences

“I have no idea how you expect to get through the day on such a mimsy breakfast.”
