Matilda, Roald Dahl’s 1988 creation, is confronting Donald Trump in Great Missenden.
The reimagining of the telekinetic schoolgirl, and whom she would be facing off with, was decided upon by the public. Donald Trump topped the poll, followed closely by Teresa May, and Piers Morgan.
Dahl lived in Great Missenden, Buckinghamshire for 36 years, making it the perfect place for the temporary statues. The statues are positioned in a field opposite the town’s library- the very building that inspired the library Matilda visited, age four years and three months.
