Romance aimed at young adults is a huge genre with new releases almost on a weekly basis, and it can be quite hard to separate the good, the bad, and the ugly. So with a huge youth following over on our Facebook page, we asked you what your favourite YA Romance novels are, and received more than 300 replies.
From those replies we now have a definitive list, 15 of your favourite romance novels that we hope will help to expand your reading list, and here they are.

In first place, maybe unsurprisingly is John Green’s heartbreaking The Fault in Our Stars, following the relationship between two teenage cancer patients. This is the kind of book you end up wanting to put in the freezer.
Next up is the Twilight Saga, by Stephenie Meyer. So many youngsters grew up on the books and many of you were quick to say you didn’t think the movies lived up.

Austen’s Pride and Prejudice came next and while not strictly YA, many of us encountered it for the first time as school reading so it’s deserved of a place on the list.
The Selection Series by Kiera Cass was loved by many of you, and as it combines those two genres dystopian and romance, it’s little wonder so many of you are fans.

The next in our list, all chosen by you is Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell and we know many an adult who has read and loved this too.
If I Stay by Gayle Foreman is next up, and like many of the others this has been turned into a major movie too.

Wuthering Heights is another classic sneaking into the list on the premise of being as popular with the younger generation as with grown ups.
The Shiver Trilogy from Maggie Stiefvater is popular with many of you, three books, one all-compassing romance!

Those were the eight books that came top in our poll, garnering the most votes but we promised you 15, so at the bottom end of your votes came:
A Walk to Remember – Nicholas Sparks
The Infernal Devices – Cassandra Clare
Outlander – Diana Gabaldon
The Notebook – Nicholas Sparks
Fallen Series – Lauren Kate
Mortal Instruments – Cassandra Clare
Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte
We hope that bumps your TBR pile up a little, or maybe there’s a book that you’re surprised doesn’t get a mention, feel free to add it in the comments.
