For our latest poll we were looking for your favourite rereads, the books you just love to read over and over and as many you gave two answers, we tallied two lots of results. When asked, lots of you gave us both the children’s or YA book you love to read over and over, and the adult one.
You can check the adult list here, but for today we have the 20 children’s books that you love to read over and over, and the winner is no surprise to me at all!

Harry Potter Series – J. K Rowling
I have to admit to having read this upwards of thirty times myself, and I was an adult when the first one came out so I’m not at all surprised to find it in the top spot here, the runaway winner of the books you love to read over and over.
Little Women – Louise May Alcott
A favourite with many of all ages is Little Women with many of you saying you have been rereading it since childhood!

Anne of Green Gables – L. M Montgomery
And with a joint number of votes to Little Women is everyone’s favourite Anne as Anne of Green Gables is shown a lot of love by a lot of you!
Twilight Saga – Stephenie Meyer
Love it or hate it the Twilight Saga got a long of young people reading, and for many it was the series to reread over and over.

The Chronicles of Narnia – C. S. Lewis
The Chronicles of Narnia is another of my favourite rereads, and a big favourite for you too. Even as an adult, Narnia has never lost its magic, no matter how old I get.
The Little House Series – Laura Ingalls Wilder
A firm favourite, particularly with readers from the USA (I’ve never read these but we got the repeats on BBC on a Sunday afternoon), it’s the Little House Series that has remained a favourite with you through the years.

Famous Five Series – Enid Blyton
I think this series was probably my own most reread series as a child and I lived my childhood dreams vicariously through imaginary Famous Five-esque adventures and insisted my friends call me George. Clearly many of you agreed as it makes our top ten.
Black Beauty – Anna Sewell
I’ve written this entire list nodding my head. I suspect every little girl at some point has wished she could have her own Black Beauty and this is a beautiful read.

Matilda – Roald Dahl
The little girl who loved books, Matilda. What’s not to love? I can see how any book living child would relate to this story over and over.
Percy Jackson – Rick Riordan
Another more modern addition to the list, though surely classics of the future are is the Percy Jackson series, by Rick Riordan completing our top ten.

11. The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole – Sue Townsend
12. Songs of the Lioness – Tamora Pierce
13. Hunger Games – Suzanne Collins (review)
14. The Secret Garden – Frances Hodgson Burnett
15. The Outsiders – S. E. Hinton
16. Nancy Drew – Edward Stratemeyer (publishers)
17. The Perks of being a Wallflower – Steve Chbosky
18. The Fault in our Stars – John Green
19. Inkheart – Cornelia Funke
20. Inheritance Cycle – C. Paolini
I’ve read lots and lots of those, and I’m sure many of you will have too during your childhood and maybe even into adulthood. This entire list makes the perfect tick list for those building a good book collection for their children, wouldn’t you agree?
