To celebrate 20 years of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, publishers Bloomsbury are set to release four Hogwarts house themed editions of the book that started the magical series. Each cover tells a unique story with the artist using the traditional heraldry from the historic coat of arms to tell us about each house.
It means readers can buy an edition according to their house colours, or buy the set if they’re an avid collector. However, at this point it’s only Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone getting the new cover rather than the entire series.
The books will be available in both paperback and hardback, the covers are mostly black with the house colours inset with the coat of arms. The edges of each page are also patterned according to the house colours, and they look absolutely beautiful!
The 20th Anniversary covers will be released in early June and you can order your copy at your local bookshop now, or pre-order online. All that’s left to do is find out what house you’re in on Pottermore, if you haven’t already! I was a Ravenclaw but I’ve been resorted as Hufflepuff, it’s ok though I love all the Hogwarts houses just the same.
