Over the years we’ve seen various Harry Potter covers, but maybe none so fixed in our memories as the iconic original covers. Be honest, when you picture the first Harry Potter book, do you see the Hogwarts Express in the background? I know I do.
Now it’s twenty years since the first book was released and to celebrate, American illustrator Brian Selznick, a huge fan of the series, has designed a set of brand new covers and they hide a beautiful secret.
When you link all seven of Selznick’s covers together, the make one big illustration and it’s absolutely beautiful. See it here:
The new editions mark the US anniversary of the release of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (released as ‘Philosopher’s Stone’ in the UK), and while they are designed for the US audience, they’ll be available here in the UK too.
The new editions will be released at the end of June, but are available for pre-order now on the links below.
