And it’s parody books leading sales
With Mother’s Day this weekend everyone is trying to get their slice of the Mother’s Day sales and the selection of books featuring in Mother’s Day displays in independent bookshops up and down the country is plentiful.
Bookshops have some great ideas for book gifts this Mother’s Day but it’s the parody books that are stealing a big slice of the market.
Released earlier this month was the Ladybird parody book The Mum part of the Ladybird Books for Grown Ups series, and also released earlier this month was Five Forget Mother’s Day, another nostalgic parody, this time on the Famous Five series. These two are already leading book sales this month, but if you’re still stuck for a gift, here are some great suggestions of parody books and otherwise.
