A scheme that offers children from disadvantaged areas in Britain’s capital city the chance to enjoy reading has proven to be so successful that the charity running it has announced that expansion is needed.
The Doorstep Library focuses on those from disadvantaged backgrounds and primarily on children for whom English may not be their first language or who have fallen behind at school and are now hoping that a crowdfunding page will help them in their mission to bring books to all children in the poorer parts of the city of London.
If you want to become involved or want to donate to the crowdfund more information on The Doorstep Library and its mission can be found here.
