Best known for her Sookie Stackhouse series of novels author Charlaine Harris was born on the 25th November 1951 Tunica Mississippi. A lover of writing from an early age her first works consisted largely of poems about ghosts and teenage angst but she would soon move on to writing plays when she attended Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee and she would never look back.
