Bahati Books Featuring Short Story Anthology for Black History Month

By October 17, 2016Culture, New Releases, News

Bahati Books is a small digital publishing house showcasing the world of African authors. The popularity of eReading has allowed us to really broaden our literary horizons and work from African authors has never been so popular.

To celebrate Black History Month this October, the publishing house is featuring an anthology of short stories, showcasing African talent, and you can read it all for free!

The entire month is dedicated to these short stories with a new title published every day throughout October. This means there are already more than two dozen at Bahati Books to read right now, and a new one added each day. However, if at the end of the celebration, you’d like to keep the short stories to read again, Bahati Books will be publishing a digital anthology, allowing you to download the stories to keep.

This year has seen a huge surge in popularity of African authors who have been far too overlooked for too long. It’s already well known that for years the publishing industry has been a whitewash, but this is changing slowly. Publishers like the award winning Bahati Publishers are making the most of this change and giving authors a voice to the world for the first time ever, and it seems to be a major shift in the publishing market (and one for the better).

You can read all the stories here at Bahati Books as they appear, and download the entire anthology at the end of Black History Month.
