Barack Obama’s presidency is missed by many and there’s no doubt that his historic time in The White House will be remembered for many years. Michelle Obama took on the role of First Lady with grace and aplomb, promoting girls’ education, combating childhood obesity, and supporting military families.
Now her time in The White House is to be documented in a book of photographs, many of them never seen before. Chasing Light: Michelle Obama Through the Lens of a White House Photographer, by Amanda Lucidon will be published in October and is already hotly tipped to be a Christmas bestseller.
The collection contains 150 candid photographers, many never before seen all printed alongside Lucidon’s unique reflections taken from her time photographing the First Lady. From affectionate moments of her with her children to quiet moments between Michelle and Barack, this collection promises to be a vibrant and beautiful celebration of her time as First Lady.
The news comes on the back of news of the release of Obama: An Intimate Portrait, another photography collection from Pete Souza, that’s out a little later, in November and both books are very likely to be bestsellers, released in time for the Christmas market.
Chasing Light: Michelle Obama Through the Lens of a White House Photographer will publish on October 17th and is available for pre-order now.
