DJ Danny Baker Writes Children’s Book

We seem to be seeing a lot of celebrities writing children’s books in recent times, and today it’s announced that Danny Baker is to release a children’s picture book.

Comedian and DJ, Danny Baker is currently in the Australian outback, eating all sorts of ghastly things on I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here. However, Baker is clearly a man of many talents because he’s also signed with Hodder Children’s Books, an imprint of the Hachette Group to release Lucie Goose next year.

Hodder will hold the world rights to the book, set to be popular with children and parents alike as the book is released last year. In a statement the group said that Lucie Goose is a wonderful book infused with Danny’s trademark wit and warmth. The book is a children’s picture book about a friendly goose who lives all alone in a house at the edge of the woods.

The deal with Hodder is a two book deal, so it’s likely there’s a second book to follow with Lucie Goose due for release in the Autumn of 2017, just in time for the Christmas audience last year!

Baker is well known for being a journalist and DJ and hosts The Danny Baker Show on BBC Radio 5, and now he can add author to his list of accomplishments and possibly professional spider eater too after his stint in IMAC.
