The Duchess of Cambridge’s photography book, Hold Still, full of photos taken during the pandemic lockdown has become an instant bestseller on release after a slew of pre-orders. Hold Still is a collection of photographs taken over the last year that reflect the mood of the nation, with an introductory text from the Duchess. It was released on 7th May and is already at the top of the bestseller list, outstripping every book on the market this week.
The Duchess worked with the Book Fairies organisation late last week to leave copies of the book, with a handwritten note from the Duchess, for people to find. The move created a frenzy of interest that is likely to keep the book a bestseller for many weeks to come.
The collection of photographs focuses on three key themes, Helpers and Heroes, Your New Normal, and Acts of Kindness, presenting a unique look at UK life during the 2020 pandemic in more than 100 photographs.
Proceeds from the book are to go to charity and will be split equally between the National Portrait Gallery, and Mind, the mental health charity. If you don’t already have your copy it’s available at all good book shops, and on Amazon on the links below.
