The Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe is a classic and well known tale, first published in 1843.
The narrator of the story starts to tells us about a murder, and the heart of the victim ends up under the floorboards and the sound of the never-ending beating heart drives the him mad.
Jane of @fancifulcakes created this beautiful cake inspired by that story, using jello for the beating heart, beating from a pump!
The cake was made for a Valentine’s day office party, but would make an amazing cake for any goth friends, lovers of Poe, and the macabre among us. If you want to try to make your own, use our very fancy book-shaped cake tin available in our shop.
