Fantastic Beasts Screenplay Takes Scamander’s Story Full Circle

Printed screenplay to accompany movie

As fans will know, originally, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, by Newt Scamander was an imaginary book within the Potterverse, which J. K Rowling then went on to release as a small volume for charity under the name of the imaginary author. From that small volume, and the imaginary book the idea for a movie followed, the trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is now available and the film will be released on 17th November.

Now the story has gone full circle with another book from J. K Rowling as the release of the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them screenplay will follow the day after the movie release, for those who prefer to read stories rather than watch movies.

While the movie is inspired by a textbook within the original stories, this book will be based on the movie, taking the entire process back to books where it started. It’s been an interesting evolution of the story of Newt Scamander, originally no more than a passing character in the Potterverse.

Both books are still available, so you’ll want to look for the screenplay version if you specifically want the new book. The original book written by J. K Rowling as Newt Scamander is still available, as is Quidditch through the ages, released at the same time.

With so many spin offs and an entire universe that has built up around the Boy Wizard, it’s quite a collection for any book collector, and if you just have to add this to your stack of J. K Rowling titles, you don’t have too much longer to wait, and you can pre-order right away.
