Back in the new year we brought you the news that an adaptation of Good Omens, by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman was to start filming this year. David Tennant was announced pretty soon after as one of the lead roles and now we know he’ll play Demon Crowley. Michael Sheen will play the Angel Aziraphale and now that filming has begun we have the first images for you via the BBC.
Shooting begun in London this week for the BBC/Amazon co-production and with Neil Gaiman on board for the adaptation it’s likely to be true to the book. The television adaptation is to have a star-studded cast, along with the leads there are also roles for Jack Whitehall, Miranda Richardson and Michael McKeen.
This week the first shot of the two leads in costume was released and you can see that here:

For those who haven’t read the 1990 novel, Good Omens sees Aziraphile and Crowley join forces to stop an apocalypse. Written as a collaboration between Gaiman and Pratchett the novel is highly popular with fans of both authors. Gaiman is working closely on the project and released his own photo from the set on Instagram.
If you haven’t yet read Good Omens and would like to before the series is released, you do have time to do so as it’s expected to launch on Prime in 2019, with a later showing planned for BBC2.
