It’s a few months now since we heard the news that J.K Rowling’s detective series featuring Cormoran Strike was to be turned into a BBC drama and after months of waiting (not to mention the wait for the new book in the series), the first trailer for The Cuckoo’s Calling is finally here!
This week the BBC has announced that the first in the miniseries will air on Sunday 26th August at 9:05pm and if you’re not so patiently waiting to see if the show matches up to the books then here’s that first trailer:
Tom Burke stars as Cormoran Strike, and while he’s a bit smaller than he’s described in the book, he seems to nail the character pretty well in the trailer. His assistant, Robin is played by Holliday Granger and she’s pretty much as described. I’m saving my final thoughts until I’ve watched the show, but it looks promising and I can’t wait to see Strike brought to life on screen.
