For Reading Addicts Reading Challenge 2022 – August

Once again this year we have decided on an inclusive challenge with the three options, Easy, Hard and Super Reader but this year’s monthly category will be “Read Through the Decades” and the alphabetical part will be by author’s name. Hopefully, this will mean that everyone can join in, whether you read one book a month or three or more!

August’s categories are:-

EASY – ALPHABETICAL CHALLENGE

Read a book by an author whose name begins with an H or a T.

Here are just a few suggestions for each letter, obviously, there are lots more:

Mark Haddon, Matt Haig, Kate Hamer, Mohsin Hamid, Kristin Hannah, Thomas Hardy, Alix E Harrow, Paula Hawkins, Natalie Haynes, Zora Neale Hurston.

Angie Thomas, Sara Taylor, Colm Toibin, Francine Toon, Amor Towles, Sue Townsend, Rose Tremain, Liz Trenow, Stuart Turton, Harriet Tyce, Anne Tyler.

Rebecca Solnit, Elizabeth Strout, Curtis Sittenfeld, Elif Shafak, Zadie Smith, Douglas Stuart, Jennifer Saint, Ali Smith, Robert Seethaler.

HARD – MONTHLY CATEGORY CHALLENGE

Read a book published between 1970 and 1979.

SUPER READER – READ HARDER CHALLENGE

Read a book by an author whose name begins with an H or a T (or both) and read a book published between 1970 and 1979.

As in all our previous challenges, pick a book from our list, pop along to your local book shop or library, order something online or pick up something that’s already in your TBR pile.
