If you’re a crazy Potterhead who likes to absorb yourself in the full experience then we may have the answer in the form of your summer holiday this year. A tour company has recently announced that a Harry Potter themed cruise is coming to the River Thames later this year!
The cruises, run by Barge Lady Cruises have been in the pipeline for quite a while now, and are finally to go ahead later this year. The entire cruise will be themed, a week long, and sailing on the Thames, with the chance to visit many of the locations from the books while you’re there.
There are two tour dates planned initially, August 5th-11th and August 19th-25th. The tours will sail the Thames, stopping off at various locations including Virginia Water (where Harry met Buckbeak), Picket Post Close (location of 4 Privet Drive), and of course the Warner Bros studios too.
That’s all the good news, but now sadly comes the not so good news, the tour prices start at a whopping £4,190 each! And as it’s on the Thames, there’s no guarantee of any sunshine along the way.
