His Dark Materials HBO/BBC adaptation boasts three new actors joining their star-studded cast.
Based on Pullman’s trilogy of books: Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass, His Dark Materials is a complex tale of theology, physics, and philosophy featuring a range of mythical and mystical beings. It tells the story of two children, Lyra and Will, who wander through a series of parallel universes.
The new eight-part series is produced by Bad Wolf and stars Dafne Keen as Lyra with James McAvoy playing her father Lord Asriel.
Joining them will be Remmie Milner who plays the witch Lena Feldt, and Robin Pearce (Black Mirror) as archaeologist Dr. Oliver Payne. British actor Henry Miller in the role of Porter, a character not mentioned in the books but possibly referring to Shuter, the old porter of Jordan College.
