Literature Maps are becoming quite popular and we’ve seen quite a few versions in recent years, but this week I stumbled across a truly original concept for a book map and it’s available to buy too!
This street map is made up of the titles of over 600 books, and unlike other maps of its kind, it’s not geographical, rather a journey through classic literature, both English and translated.
As you can see above the map is loosely based on a turn of the century map of London, the map is filled with fictional areas, dedicated to genres, literature from specific countries, or entire literary worlds. With fictional streets like Wuthering Heights, fictional places of interest such as Northanger Abbey, places for daytrips such as Norwegian Wood, it’s a must for literature lovers. Take a look at the detail below:
The map pretty much encompasses every author, book, and literary movement you can think of and would be perfect on any library wall.
