Royal Biographer to Look at Queen and Her Corgis

By April 25, 2018New Releases

Royal observers may have heard the news last week that the Queen has lost the last of her beloved corgis to old age. Queen Elizabeth II has kept corgis since she was a child, and now Royal biographer Penny Juror is to release a book about them.

All the Queen’s Corgis will be an intimate look at the Queen and every single corgi she has ever kept. Promising to be an affectionate and informative read, it’s likely to reveal a side to Queen Elizabeth II we have never seen. Out in November, it’s likely to be a big Christmas seller and we’re sure royal fans and dog lovers will be itching to get their hands on a copy.

Penny Juror has already written biographies of Princes William and Harry, The Prince of Wales, The Princess of Wales and two British Prime Ministers. Her most recent book, The Duchess: The Untold Story, a biography of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall was released last year, and so she seems the perfect person to tackle this subject.

The Queen has kept corgis since she was a child, and long before she became Queen. The dogs are an integral part of her image, and even appeared in the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics. They’ve appeared in interviews, portraits and parties, and now people will get to read about them too, in this unusual and sweet look at the Queen and the dogs she loves so much.
