The Conference of the Birds to Follow Map of Days in Miss Peregrine Series

First we saw the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children trilogy, and it caused quite the stir, popular among children and adults alike. The first book became a movie, and while that fell quite flat with the fans of the book, it didn’t detract from the popularity of this unusual and unique series.

Then late last year author Ransom Riggs announced that he was taking the story in a new direction and Map of Days followed. Map of Days launched readers into the previously unexplored world of American Peculiars with new characters, new allies, and new adversaries.

Now, we have a follow on as The Conference of the Birds is due for release in January of next year, and will continue Jacob Portman’s story from Map of Days and into the future.

The series has been unusual, and popular, bringing to life ideas that have appealed to children and adults alike. Seasoned readers may know that the title comes from a masterpiece of Persian Literature by Sufi poet Farid ud-Din Attar, commonly known as Attar of Nishapur. We don’t know whether there’ll be any nods to the Persian story, which was published in 1177 but it does share the same name.

The Conference of the Birds will be released on January 14th 2020 and is available for pre-order now at all good bookshops and on the links below.
