We ask Google questions that people may never know every single day, some useless, many I suspect ridiculous. Before Google if you wanted to know something and didn’t know who to ask then you may have scribbled the question on a bit of card and handed it to one of the librarians at the New York Public Library.
The New York Public Library celebrates its 125th anniversary this year, and the library is opening up many of its archives to celebrate. As part of this, they have released a cache of questions submitted to staff at the library. Today we’re going to share them with you!
These queries were all submitted either in person, or by telephone, to the NYPL staff between the 1940s, and 1980s. They need no further explanation, so here’s the best of them!
