5 Recommended Books for fans of Jojo Moyes

Jojo Moyes pretty much owns the whole chick-lit/romance genre at the moment and it’s easy to see why. Although not my favourite genre, ‘chick-lit’ really doesn’t do Moyes justice, her books cover life, history and feelings that are very relatable while staying true to life and realism. She’s proving a hard act to follow with fantastic books such as Me Before You, The Girl You Left Behind and others, showing that she can write believable, individual characters you are left thinking about afterwards.

With so many fans of the author on our page I thought we’d get some suggestions on other books to try if you’re a fan.

We had quite a few suggestions so from them I have made a list of five books from different authors to try if you’re a fan of Jojo Moyes!

Big Little Lies – Liane Moriarty

I read Big Little Lies last year, it’s a great book and was suggested a couple of times for this poll. Another of Moriarty’s, The Husband’s Secret also made the suggestions list and having read both I totally agree!

Love Rosie/Where Rainbows End – Cecelia Ahern

I love Cecilia Ahern, catapulted to fame by P.S I Love You, that also made the suggestions as did Thanks for the Memories. Ahern is definitely an author worth checking out if you love Jojo Moyes.

The Bungalow – Sarah Jio

This isn’t one I’m familiar with. Bungalow is Sarah Jio’s second novel, set in 1942 and describing love in the winds of war.

Grace River Valley Series – Robyn Carr

It’s always great to find a new book series and if you’re a fan of Jojo Moyes then the Grace River Valley series might just be for you. The trilogy is set in California, and is full of community, intrigue and secrets.

Rachel’s Holiday – Marian Keyes

‘Anything by Marian Keyes’ was one poll suggestion with Rachel’s Holiday noted as one worthy of a read. Find out what happened to Rachel in rehab and maybe find yourself a new author along the way!
