Judith Kerr is one of my favourite children’s authors, and while most people quote The Tiger Who Came to Tea in association with the author, for me it’s Mog! Mog the Forgetful Cat was a favourite of mine as a small child and has become a favourite of my own children too, so much so that my 40 year old copy is losing its cover and a little frayed around the edges.
So imagine my delight to realise that UK supermarket chain, Sainbury’s is bringing Mog’s Christmas to life in its festive ad this year. It’s bloody wonderful, take a look!
Now I’ve read Mog’s Christmas and I was a bit disappointed at first that this is a different Christmas adventure than he has in the books. However, Judith Kerr has worked closely with the Sainsbury’s team and this is a very typical Mog story, and you’ll also be pleased to know that Mog still loves boiled eggs.
