Sophie Aldred has written a new Doctor Who novel- and a fan snuck a video of her reading an excerpt!
The actress is known to sci-fi fans as Ace from the Seventh Doctor seasons of Doctor Who in the late 1980s. Her Doctor, Sylvester McCoy
After her two-year, four story season of Doctor Who between 1987 and 1989, Sophie worked throughout the 90s on various projects including a lot of children’s TV. The 2000s saw Sophie move towards audio work and writing- including At Childhood’s End a Doctor Who novel following an older Ace (now a philanthropist), working with the 13th Doctor to save the world.
While promoting her new novel, Sophie read some excerpts during her book tour, some of which a fan managed to capture. The sneaky recording was then retweeted by Sophie herself!
