Yes you heard right there is a brand new book from Stephanie Meyer the author of the much loved Twilight series and it’s coming outon November 8th but if you’re hoping for an update on the Cullens and their werewolf buddies I’m afraid you’re out of luck.
In a complete break from her previous writing style Stephanie Meyer’s The Chemist is a Crime Thriller novel with nary a vampire to be seen.
Never staying in one place for very long and constantly changing her name the protagonist is an ex-agent for the US Government on the run from her former employers desperately trying to clear her name and save her life.
As part of a clandestine section of the government and an expert in her field she was once one of their most valuable assets but when they decided she was a liability they decided to terminate her employment and her life. Now offered a way out she must take on one last case for her erstwhile employers but in tackling it she makes herself even more vulnerable and a greater target.
Described as being a heart stopping drama and tautly plotted this book sees Stephanie following in the footsteps of a number of authors famous for Children’s/YA series in transitioning into Adult fiction, the only difference being that Meyer has kept her name rather than releasing her book under a pseudonym in order to avoid any preconceptions and is available for pre-order now.
