As you may well know by now, the movie version of Stephen King’s IT has had a remake, and Mr. Mercedes is set for its televisual debut.
King is prevalent on Twitter and has made no secret of his dislike of President Donald Trump, much to the annoyance of Trump fans America-wide.
The latest spat ended with the POTUS blocking King on Twitter for his negative comments, and King responded with a block of his own…
Donald Trump blocked me on Twitter. I am hereby blocking him from seeing IT or MR. MERCEDES. No clowns for you, Donald. Go float yourself.
— Stephen King (@StephenKing) 25 August 2017
In response to the author’s blocking of Trump from seeing IT or Mr. Mercedes, fans of the US president took to Reddit to show their displeasure. In an attempt to boycott the remake of Stephen King’s IT an ardent Trump fan urged others to boycott the movie in hopes of dwindling box office numbers and an eventual ‘flop’ of the new movie.
Unfortunately for those calling for a boycott Stephen King’s IT is set to be the largest September movie debut, and the largest opening weekend ever for a horror movie.
Stephen King continues to be a very vocal critic of Donald Trump so it seems even the threat of a boycott did not dampen his spirits.
