In September we brought you the news that a BBC History of Magic documentary was to air in the Autumn, along with two brand new books from the Potterverse. Both books will be released on 20th October in conjunction with an exhibition at the British Library and we now know that the documentary will air on BBC2 on 28th October at 9pm.
This week the BBC released a trailer for the documentary, just a short snippet of the hour long show and you can watch that below.
The hour long documentary is part of a series of events to mark the 20th year since the release of the first Harry Potter book. Starting on 20th October is a History of Magic exhibition at the British Library, unveiling and unravelling the mythical and magical inspirations for Rowling’s writings.
Along with that there are two brand new Harry Potter books coming today! Harry Potter: A History of Magic and Harry Potter: A Journey Through the History of Magic. Both books will be released on 20th October in time for the start of the exhibition.
