Originally published in 2014, and met with critical acclaim and a Pulitzer Prize win, Anthony Doerr’s novel All the Light we Cannot See tells the story of a blind French girl taking refuge in her uncle’s house following the Nazi occupation of Paris during World War II, as well as a young German teenage boy whose skill with radios sees him sent to military school. In late 2021, it was announced that Netflix has acquired the rights to create a series based on the novel, and that Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight would serve as the writer.
If you’re a fan of the book and have been eagerly anticipating the show, then you’ll want to check out the new trailer Netflix has just dropped, which looks really rather promising.
Unfortunately, you still have a little while to wait before you can watch the four-part series, as Netflix has announced it will release on November 2nd of this year. The series stars Aria Mia Loberti as Marie-Laure LeBlanc, Mark Ruffalo as Daniel LeBlanc, Hugh Laurie as Etienne LeBlanc, and Louis Hofmann as Werner Pfennig.
