Word of the Day – Bizarrerie

By August 23, 2016Word of the Day

Bizarrerie (noun)

biz-ar-er-ee

A thing considered extremely strange and unusual, especially in an amusing way.

I just love the way this word sounds, I think if I were to open a shop I’d have to call it The Book Bizarrerie.

Example sentences

“He was always a bit of an eccentric and considered a much loved bizarrerie of the village.”

“Being connoisseurs of the bizarrerie the two brothers leaped at the chance of owning a genuine Jackalope.”
