Wittol (noun)

A man who is aware and tolerant of his wife’s infidelity; an acquiescent cuckold.

Wittol’s archaic definition has evolved to now encompass not only cuckolds but also those husbands who actually encourage their wives to engage in coitus with other men and derive pleasure from that fact.
