Anthropomorphism (noun)

The giving of human emotions and feelings to a non-human being. Often used to describe the way we humanise animals but also relevant to Gods and inanimate objects.

I adore this word, I can remember spending hours learning how to make it roll off my tongue. A worthy Word of the Day contender!
