Something which acts as a stimulus or boost to an activity.

Can also be used to describe the act of flicking something, or flicking a finger by holding the last joint against the thumb and then releasing it quickly.

Example sentences

“Releasing abandoned Brownfield sites for social development would act as a fillip in reducing homelessness.”

“He can fillip a coin twenty feet without even trying.”
